Gardaí arrested a woman in March in Co Cork in connection with the discovery of a man’s body.
Woman, in her 40s, was arrested this morning and is currently being held at Mallow Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The body of the man, who was in his early 60s, was discovered on March 24 at a property outside Buttevant in North Cork.
Gardai were called to the scene just after 9 p.m. and requested the assistance of the State Office of Pathology.
The man had injuries that could indicate a fall.
A full forensic and technical examination of the area where the body was found was conducted.
Paramedics were called to the property by the man’s partner, who found him in an unresponsive condition in a ground floor room.
Attempts to revive the man failed and he was pronounced dead before he could be taken to hospital.
At the time of the incident, the death was being treated as unexplained.
The investigations are ongoing.
