Gary Busey denied sex crimes allegations against him at a recent fan convention in New Jersey.
The 78-year-old actor said these claims were “all false” and “nothing happened” during the incidents at Monster Mania Con in 2022.
It comes after Busey was charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sex contact, one count of willful sexual contact and one count of harassment.
The charges stem from offenses committed at the annual convention at the Doubletree Hotel on August 12-14 in Cherry Hill, just across the state line from Pennsylvania’s Philadelphia, police said. .
Busey, from Malibu in California, is scheduled to be a featured guest on all three days of the event.
When asked on camera about the allegations made by media outlet TMZ, he said: “No such thing happened.
“There was my partner, a woman filming, and me, and two girls. It took less than 10 seconds, and they were gone. Nothing happened, it was all a lie.
When asked if he was unsuitable, he added: “No, I am not… not suitable at all, and I have witnesses.”
Following up on the cases, the police did not identify the suspect as the actor, but gave his age and hometown that matched his details.
Busey is widely known as a character actor, primarily for supporting roles such as in Point Break, although he did come to the attention and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for lead role in the 1978 film The Buddy Holly Story.
