Goals from Billy Ryan and James Finn proved pivotal as Craobh Chiaráin beat Whitehall Colmcille 2-13, 1-9 on Friday night’s Clonshaugh in Dublin AHL 1.

Ary Kelly played a big role for the hosts at centre-back, continuing his fine form from 2022, while Robbie Mahon brought in four points from balls placed.

Ryan added two points from the game to his goal, with goals from Carl Sammon, Cian Derwin, Conor Ryan and Paul Kelly, all six home forwards scoring that night.

At St Mobhi Road, Na Fianna and Kilmacud shared the spoils by 2:16 each in a repeat of last year’s championship final.

Brendan Scanlan made it 1-4 for the visitors who impressed through the efforts of Cian Ó Cathasaigh, Shane Veale, Cian Ryan and Dara Geraghty as both teams were reduced to fourteen late on.

Hero Hayes

Kilmacud Crokes was shoved to the max before beating the brave Scoil Uí Chonaill 1-15 to 1-11 in last Wednesday night’s tense Dublin AHL2 clash at Silver Park.

The well-placed sides traded points in the early stages before Kilmacud seized the initiative thanks to a goal from Brian Hayes and points from Michael Roche and Sean Kinsella.

The visitors responded with an unanswered 1-2 of their own and another Roche score was required to ensure parity until the interval.

Points proved more difficult to find after the break, but Roche pooped over a couple of points to confirm his side’s success.
