MORE than 1,000 homes and a busy airport are currently experiencing water supply issues, causing toilets to close.
According to SES Water, Gatwick Airport and surrounding homes are being affected by low water pressure.
The airport has been forced to close dozens of toilets while waiting for SES tankers to fix the problem.
A Gatwick spokeswoman said: “A problem with the supply of SES water to Gatwick and the surrounding area this morning has resulted in lower than normal water pressure across the airport.
“We are working closely with SES Water to ensure this issue is resolved as quickly as possible.
“Bottled water will be made available to passengers and staff throughout the airport and other emergency measures will be taken to ensure the welfare of our passengers.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused to passengers.”
SES is currently investigating the cause and working to ensure supply.
A spokesman said: “We are currently investigating the cause of the negative pressure in Gatwick and the surrounding area.
“We are working closely with the teams at Gatwick Airport to ensure deliveries continue.”
