Gatwick Airport has announced over 50 flights a week to New York, Boston and other American cities for the holiday season.
An extended schedule will be introduced from Monday 31st October to cater for those wishing to cross the Atlantic during the holiday season.
Stephanie Wear, Head of Aerospace Development at Gatwick, said: “We are delighted to re-establish our popular connections to North America in the wake of the pandemic.
“It’s exciting to once again offer passengers more choice when traveling between Gatwick and the United States.”
Flights are operated by British Airways, JetBlue and Norse Atlantic. After the pandemic, the airport will also return from April by the American airline Delta.
The airport aims to bring transatlantic flights back to pre-pandemic levels.
The increased schedule includes approximately four daily flights to New York, eleven weekly flights to Orlando, Fla. and daily flights to Boston.
