Get outside and keep fit by running with these great products

THE weather is getting better, so for those who enjoy running, it’s time to get outside.
Some studies have shown that running at about 10 km/h outdoors burns five percent more calories than running on a treadmill.
Today I’m looking at Lauf Essentials and our Beauty Editor puts facial oils to the test.
HEALTH: with Jane Atkinson
BOOTS: These Zone3 RX3 Lightweight compression tights for women are brilliant.
They are a triathlon brand developed by athletes for athletes.
The leggings have graduated compression, breathable fabric, hip and knee panels for muscle support, reflective details and built-in UPF 50 sun protection.

They give you a nice hug without squeezing you too much and they’re flattering too.
Only downside is the tight ankles but I tucked my socks underneath and they became the perfect thing to break in.
(Currently half price of £47.50, zone3.com.)
BRA: We’ve all seen runners wobble inappropriately, even though a bra is one of the most essential pieces of clothing you can buy.
Ex-sports bra tester Mari Thomas has used her years of experience to create the perfect bra.
And she’s come up with a design that looks great while providing amazing support.
It has a special “over bandage” to reduce upward movement during exercise and you can also switch between a racerback and an H-style bra.
There is also an online fitting service. Brilliant.

POST TREATMENT: Nuasan is a new range of natural and antibacterial personal care products.
It took four years of research to develop this environmentally conscious, scientifically proven product.
Brilliant, the body wash contains magnesium and arnica to soothe muscle and joint pain, antibacterial properties to combat perspiration, while macroalgae (algae) and peppermint provide revitalizing and hydrating benefits.
I will keep using this. A brilliant product.

BUDGET: Aurelia London Cell Repair Night Oil (£29 for 30ml, aurelialondon.com):
An award-winning intensive night treatment that claims to work with skin’s natural nighttime repair mode.
Kalahari Oil provides essential fatty acids, Mongongo Oil restructures and regenerates the epidermis and Kigelia firms and tones.
This is the palest of the three. Not a strong odor but absorbed well.
My skin felt cared for after use.
Of the three, I would buy these again and again because of the price.
MEDIUM: This Is Silk Night Oil (£39.99 for 30ml, thisissilk.com):
Award-winning accessories brand This Is Silk has just launched this oil.
Described as a powerful face oil with Silk Peptides, the antioxidant Bakuchiol and nourishing Rosehip repairs and renews skin while you sleep.
This trinity of powerful ingredients claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, plump up skin, even out and improve skin texture and tone.
The downside is that it didn’t seem to penetrate as well as the others – but if you want something that will help you sleep and smell amazing, this is it.
LUXURY: Romilly Wilde Active Boost Facial Oil (£75 for 30ml, romillywilde.com):
Described as an advanced serum/oil that targets and nourishes skin, it claims to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving a revitalized, radiant complexion.
It’s a clever combination of products – including ten different oils.
This one didn’t have a nice aroma like the others and smelled slightly oaty.
But out of three, it was the one that got soaked the most.

The bottle annoyed me though. It’s not translucent so you have no idea how much is left.
But annoyingly, this expensive product was my favorite.
