Get your mesmerizing deep space vibes with Microsoft’s new Stellar Shift Xbox controller.

Microsoft has unveiled the Stellar Shift, the latest iteration in its now three-strong line of metallic-hued Xbox wireless controllers – this one with a purple-and-blue front is said to evoke “a mesmerizing sense of deep-space vibes.”

Following on from Microsoft’s Lunar Shift and Aqua Shift controllers (the latter is metallic blue with hints of purple, so definitely not the same), Stellar Shift features the same rubberized “Swirl” grip and textured bumpers as previous iterations of the device.

And, of course, it features the usual portholes (there’s a 3.5mm headset jack) and inputs seen across Microsoft’s entire line of Xbox controllers. Thumbsticks, D-Pad and face buttons, in case you’re wondering, are all gray with purple label detailing.

The Xbox Wireless Controller – Stellar Shift Special Edition, as Microsoft calls it, launches today, February 7th, and costs £59.99/$69.99.

And if you want to have the galaxy in your eyes while holding it tenderly in your hands at the same time, you’re in luck. Microsoft’s Stellar Shift comes bundled with a spacey, dynamic background for Xbox Series X/S that unlocks after the controller is connected to your console.
