Ghislaine Maxwell should be in prison for at least 30 years for her crimes against teenage girls, US prosecutors say.

The British socialite and former accomplice of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is currently awaiting sentencing.

New court filings described the 60-year-old’s behavior as “shockingly predatory” and her crimes as “monstrous.”

She was convicted on December 29 last year on five counts of sex trafficking and other charges relating to the recruitment and nurturing of teenage girls for the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for molestation between 1994 and 2004.

Maxwell is due to be sentenced next Tuesday.

Her legal team has previously argued that she should not serve more than four or five years in prison.

They also allege that since her arrest in July 2020, she has been subjected to inhumane prison conditions, including being woken by guards throughout the night and forced to sleep with the lights on.

Prosecutors made their recommendations to the judge, saying complaints about poor conditions in their cell were not sufficient grounds for a reduced sentence.

They wrote, “The transition from hand and foot service to confinement is undoubtedly a shocking and uncomfortable experience.”

Federal penal guidelines state that Maxwell should serve between 30 and 55 years in prison.
