CELTIC Football Club was featured on yesterday’s Coronation Street episode.
Fans took to social media after noticing the Hoops were included in a short list of teams rhymed by actor Ryan Russell, who plays the character of Michael Bailey.
During the ITV show, Michael’s brother James Bailey, played by Nathan Graham, had been reflecting on the fact that his contract with local team Weatherfield County had been cancelled.
The footballer had previously collapsed on the pitch and been taken to hospital – where he found he was suffering from a heart condition.
James’ mother had revealed that she was worried about him and James replied: “I’m a footballer, that’s who I am. Nothing else matters.”
His brother Michael then told him: “There are many more teams in the sea, okay.
“Look at West Ham, Celtic, Forest, this time next year you could play for Prescot Cables.”
Celtic supporters were quick to notice their club being mentioned throughout the soap.
One person wrote: “Celtic gets a little mention in tonight’s Corrie.”
Another added: “Brilliant, small mention for Celtic.”
