Glee star Darren Criss reveals brother took his own life in heartbreaking post

Actor Darren Criss, who plays Blaine Anderson on the TV series Glee, has revealed that his brother Charles sadly took his own life in February, aged just 36 years old.

Glee star Darren Criss has revealed brother Charles took his own life last month in a heartbreaking post.
The 35-year-old actor, who plays Blaine Anderson in the musical drama, shared the sad news on Instagram.
Sharing a photo of Charles, who recently passed away aged 36, Darren wrote: “It is heartbreaking to say that my beloved brother Charles has left us.
“Obviously this was a huge shock.
“His loss left a debilitating rift in the lives of his mother, his brother, his three young children and their respective mothers.”
He continued: “I went through what feels like a tiny eternity trying to wrap my head around it, which I doubt I’ll try to do for the rest of my life.

“But in the short time that I’ve had to deal with everything, I’ve been trying to put together some words that might help answer some of your questions.”
Darren added that while he wrote the post with “heaviest sadness,” he did it for him “a little bit of peace” to share the sad news.
While admitting he’s unsure to what extent he wants to share details of Charles’ death, Darren admits he needs to be ‘as clear as possible’ about what happened.

“The past few years have been increasingly difficult for Chuck as he struggled to find stability during an unfortunately difficult period in his life,” he wrote.
“Despite our great concerns about his state of health, and his protests that everything was fine, it is now sad to say that Chuck has clearly suffered from major depression in him. it for a while.
“We will never know how long he fought this fight within himself, but last week it completely consumed him, and he fought it off by taking his own life. mine.”

The actor went on to reassure anyone struggling with their mental health that there is no shame in seeking help and encourages them to do so.
Darren concluded the post: “Chuck Criss is bubbly, exceptional, world-loving, hilarious, insightful, talented, intelligent, popular and loved.
“He was a good man with a kind heart who contributed countless laughter, music and joy to the world.”
The star’s emotional message received enthusiastic support from her Darren’s Glee co-stars.
Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry in the series, wrote: “Verified love you Darren. We will miss you Chuck. ”
While Kevin McHale, who played Artie Abrams on the show, said: “I’m so sorry. Love you.”
