Glenveagh acquires the Wicklow timber frame house manufacturer


Irish-listed homebuilder Glenveagh has acquired Harmony Timber Solutions, a Wicklow-based timber frame manufacturer.

armony employs over 50 people and is able to produce 450 high quality wooden frames every year.

According to Glenveagh, the acquisition will accelerate new home deliveries on the company’s path to delivering 3,000 units per year in its suburban, urban and partnership segments.

The value of the acquisition was not disclosed and is subject to the approval of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

Glenveagh CEO Stephen Garvey said the company has been working with Harmony for over five years.

“We have invested judiciously in recent years to better control our supply chain to help meet changing customer needs and deliver high quality, sustainable homes while controlling costs,” he said.

“This acquisition gives us three major facilities in key locations, all within an hour’s drive of Dublin and, more importantly, close to where we are building the communities where our customers will find their homes” , he added.
