Oscars: Liam Payne Reacts When Will Smith Hits Chris Rock

Good Morning Britain viewers were left baffled by Liam Payne’s voice as they watched Monday’s episode of the ITV show.

The breakfast show has been dominated by the 2022 Oscars and the shocking moment of watching Will Smith slap comedian Chris Rock over a joke he made about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Will, 53, who later won Best Actor, burst onto the stage and attacked Chris, 57, after he appeared to mock Jada’s hair.

Speaking to GMB, former One Direction star Liam said: “Will Smith really used to live behind my house. I’m happy to know his son and daughter so well.

“I believe he feels whatever he does, he has the right to do. I also feel there are three losers in a fight. He doesn’t know, it’s Chris Rock, he doesn’t do what. what he has to do, is Will Smith, and she does nothing, is Jada.”

Liam continued: “It’s a very sad thing, but it was a powerful moment for me to sit and watch one of the world’s best performers we’ve ever seen speak from the heart and I’d rather take beauty out of circumstances rather than taking away pain.

“But I had to get out of my chair, I’ll be honest with you, it cut me deep, and I don’t get into these things very deeply but I’m a huge movie fan.

“In a moment of horror, there was a bit of beauty in what happened and I’m sure everyone is so sorry for what happened, it shouldn’t have happened,” Liam added.

However, viewers who adapted it at home were more interested in Liam’s voice than his comments about Will.

“I thought Liam Payne was British…his accent…#GMB,” one person posted.

Another asked: “Why does Liam paynes have an American Irish accent?! #gmb (sic).”
