GMB: Laura Tobin told Richard to be quiet
Laura Tobin silenced her Good Morning Britain co-star as he chatted over her weather bulletin.
The weather presenter stopped her segment midway through today, as her colleague Richard Bacon – who is present today with Kate Garraway – can hear screams in the background as Laura splits. Share weather updates.
When she gave the weather report, she said: “Good morning, we saw Andi [Peters] there, it was starting to get chilly until this morning thanks to clear skies and a light breeze. The outlook hasn’t really changed much, with low pressure bringing wet and windy weather. High pressure provides stable conditions and affects -“

She then stopped when she could hear screams in the studio, fuming as she told her co-star: “Richard! Richard! Shh! Thank you, I’m in the middle of the weather. How rude! “
The camera then shifts to him with his hand over his mouth as he apologizes to Laura and viewers, as Laura tells him: “You spent all of your time trying to figure out how to do it. Keep it up. try more!”
He mumbled an apology, before Laura continued: “There’s a lot to hear about the weather. So the winds – calm now – in winter it brings cooler conditions. chipping across the east coast as we pass over the next few days.”

Laura has always cared about the weather, and in her new book, Every Day Ways To Save The Planet, Laura details her journey to becoming a weatherman, explaining that she called the Met Office when she was a teenager. 14 years old.
“I’ve been forecasting the weather for over 17 years now, but my love for the subject began much earlier – in a particularly memorable geography lesson when I was 14 years old,” she wrote.

“My teacher, Mr. Hannant, asked all the boys to stand in one line and all the girls to stand in another line next to the boys, as if we were about to start two conga. There, he told us to run across the classroom as fast as we could. We had to push each other until we got to the other side. When we got there, our paths weren’t straight anymore – they were wobbly. lay. And that’s, he said, what the weather creates. What he did was create a jet stream in our classroom.”
Explaining how she cares about the weather, she added: “Since that moment, I’ve been hooked,” Laura says in the pages of her new book. At 14, I called the Met Office to see what test results I needed. And the rest, they say, is history. ”
