“Harry and Meghan won’t be there because they’re concerned about security,” Susanna Reid said.
Guest Andrew Pierce later added: “It’s ridiculous, because he will be in the royal lap today and there will be security people everywhere. He will be completely taken care of.”
Susanna then asked if Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle thought “they’re more of a target”, when she added: “Because maybe that’s what they argue – is that they feel the risk than if there were other members of the Royal Family there, including the Head of State.”

Kevin Maguire of the Mirror later responded saying it was the safest place they could go.
“If they feel it, they feel it but come on, it’s going to be the safest part of London. I was there last night, they put up a crash barrier. If you’re looking today a cop, just go around Westminster Abbey, you’ll find the ranks among them,” he added.
Richard then said: “I couldn’t agree more with you. What is he playing?”

Prince Harry has not been to the UK since July 2021, when he attended the unveiling event of the statue of his late mother Princess Diana with his brother Prince William.
Meanwhile, the Queen is ‘hopeful’ about carrying out a memorial service for her beloved late husband, as she has been suffering from increasing mobility problems in recent months. It is believed that she is having a variation of “good days and bad days”.
The event will begin at 11:30am today at Westminster Abbey. Prince Charles, Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will all attend, along with other members of the Royal Family including Prince Andrew.
