The wait is over. Five long years after releasing their last LP, ODESZA is back with a new album, Last goodbye.
Launching today (July 22) through Ninja Tune and the Seattle duo’s Foreign Family Collective label, Last goodbye features 13 tracks, including previously released singles “Light Of Day”, “Behind The Sun”, “Wide Awake”, “Love Letter”, “Better Now” and the album’s title track.
The album is signature ODESZA, full of lush sonic backdrops, epic moments and equally complex and emotional production, with ODESZA’S Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight embedding sounds from old family videos to songs. Coming out of the pandemic, the couple also said they consciously made this album especially danceable to provide listeners with the support they needed after the global event. The pair – one of the electronic space’s most successful touring artists – will celebrate the album’s release next week with a trio of sold-out shows at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena. The Last Goodbye tour will then hit theaters across the US and Canada in early October. Performances in this theater will have longer bills (with supporting acts including Sylvan Esso) and San Holo) and installations to create a small carnival atmosphere.

ODESZA’s 2017 LP A Moment Apart reached number 3 on the Billboard 200 in September 2017. It also reached number 1 on Hot Dance/Electronic albums, as well as their previous LP, 2014. Exchange.
