Go West for three beds from €220,000 – second phase of Westpoint development in Donegal to be sold on plans

Westpoint, Donegal Town Asking Price: from €220,000 Broker: DNG Dorrian (074) 9731140
Roperty’s Donegal asking prices rose a whopping 22 per cent in the first three months of this year, according to figures from Daft.ie. This compares to a 3 percent increase last year.
That newspaper’s national home price survey found that the growth was due to the adoption of remote work.
People are coming home from Dublin, Belfast, London and beyond, competing with each other for properties across the country.
Prices in Donegal have traditionally been very affordable by national standards and although rising there is still good value for those looking for a permanent home.
As we move further out of the pandemic it’s hard to say if this rural exodus will continue, but for now counties like Donegal, Mayo and Wexford are certainly on the rise.
In the City of Donegal, a high percentage of those choosing the new WestPoint development are first time buyers working on a hybrid basis.
The second phase is currently selling the plans with 50 units expected to be completed by the end of August and the remaining 50 units by October.
Constructed by Carnvalley Holdings, additional phases are planned and when complete there will be a total of 73 properties on the project.
Currently for sale are 1,055 sq. ft. two-bedroom two-bedrooms with middle and back terraces starting at $220,000 and 1,195 sq. ft. three-bedroom semi-detached homes starting at $265,000.

Each property has an A2 energy rating, thanks to the air to water heat pump, underfloor heating on the ground floor, powerful radiators, triple glazed windows and good insulation throughout.
Kitchens will be Cherrymore and bathrooms will have large walk-in showers. Outside, gardens are raked and seeded and have a paved patio area.
WestPoint is located on the outskirts of Donegal town, close to three schools, four GAA clubs, Donegal Town football and rugby clubs, as well as numerous retail outlets, restaurants and shops
cafes.
The show house is now available for vernissages from Monday to Saturday, or there is an open tour every second Saturday, the next morning from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
