God of War Ragnarök: Temple of Light Statue Puzzle Guide

GOD of War Ragnarök has a huge world to explore, and one of the more difficult areas to traverse is the Temple of Light.

In particular, there’s a fairly difficult statue puzzle that you’ll come across that needs to be solved in order to progress.

The Temple of Light also houses the Grip of Gram, a powerful, stunning relic.

If you’re struggling with the statue puzzle in God of War Ragnarok’s Temple of Light then you’ve come to the right place.

How to solve the Temple of the Light Statue puzzle in God of War Ragnarök

In search of Groa’s shrine, you’ll find a room with two statues at the top of a spiral staircase.

The one on the left is inclined while the one on the right is straight.

How to solve the puzzle so you can open the door and continue.

First you need to tell Atreus to shoot a sonic arrow at the base of the straight statue so it tilts to the right.

Pull it to the left with your blades, which will open up a route to climb behind.

Once you’re up here, you can straddle your way so you’re behind the other statue.

This causes this statue to lean even more forward. You can then use your blades to pull on the statue from behind.

Then a connector will appear, which you can break by throwing your axe.

This will cause one of the wings to fall off, exposing another part. However, you still have to break off the other wing.

Throw your ax at the back of the shield, which has a Twilight Stone on it.

This causes the second wing to fall off and the statue to lean forward.

Reach back to the first statue and look back at the shield.

From this angle, you should be able to hit the rock near the exit with your ax and open the way forward.

Shortly after, you’ll encounter the Alva boss fight, so make sure you’ve mastered your shield bashes.
