Gogglebox viewers have requested a change to Channel 4 programming after getting ‘political’ on Friday night’s show.
Last night (April 15) saw armchair critics like Bridgerton, but it was a piece of BBC news that really set things on fire.
Families watched the clip showing the news as it broke about Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak being fined for breaking the door lock rule.
Quickly giving their opinions, families began sharing their personal views on whether they believed the Prime Minister should step down.
But fans of Gogglebox were unimpressed with the politically charged segment, with many taking to Twitter to express their disappointment and call for the show to cut any future political chatter.

“Gogglebox is so political it really annoys me. I have to turn it off,” said one viewer.
“Please don’t get into politics with us. I watch Gogglebox to get rid of this Boris trash,” said another disgruntled fan of the show.
A third later wrote: “More political narrative from Channel 4, take a break.”
But some fans of the show supported the political discussion.
“You can’t separate politics from everyday life: it affects every aspect of everyday life. We need MORE politics, not less. Gogglebox can only reach people who don’t care. mind,” one person urged.
Another quickly joined in and wrote: “Why is everyone whining about the broadcast box that talks about politics? This show has always done that. Don’t whine ffs.”

This comes after viewers of the Channel 4 show were completely confused and “stitched” as Pete Sandiford showed off his ‘painful’ Easter egg hack.
Pete smashed a chocolate egg on his forehead during Friday night’s show – which completely baffled fans.
While showing it off to his sister Sophie, Pete went on to tell her how he had a unique trick when he broke chocolate Easter eggs.
“You just sniff the point of your head,” he explains.
“Look,” he said as he smashed a large chocolate egg wrapped in gold foil against his forehead.
Pete then proceeds to smash the chocolate egg into his head – which doesn’t quite go to plan.
“I think I cracked my skull just because I saw you,” Sophie said completely shattered.
Fans flocked to Twitter after the clip aired, and one wrote: “Did he just do what I thought he did…with a chocolate Easter egg?”
Another added: “This got me stitched @PeteandSophie@C4Gogglebox. I remember doing something similar with a chocolate orange and it went so wrong #Gogglebox #EasterEgg.”
“What told him to crack an easter egg out of his head to open it??? #Gogglebox,” a third asked.
Gogglebox airs at 9pm every Friday on Channel 4 and All4.
