Gogglebox: Sophie and Pete emotional about the Ukraine crisis

Sophie Sandiford broke down in tears as she spoke to her brother Pete about the war in Ukraine on Friday’s episode of Gogglebox.

In the last episode of the Channel 4 show, the various families tuned in to coverage of Russia’s attack on Ukraine over the past week.

When Sophie and Pete discussed the idea of ​​him being called up for Britain in a possible war, Sophie became very emotional.

The father of one child, Pete, told his sister, “I don’t know how I would feel if I was held back to fight the war. ‘Cause what are you doing? You can’t go: ‘No, I’m going’, but do I really want to be shot at and possibly killed for the same reason? You know what’s more valuable to me?”

Sophie replied: “God, it chokes me just thinking about it. ‘Cause I’d just stay with you…”

But Pete had none of it, telling her, “No, you wouldn’t. The damn king wouldn’t let you, you soft little ass. Stop it you c***head, you’ll make me cry. We’re here, you fucking idiot!”

“I know, but it’s just scary,” she replied as she burst into tears and wiped her eyes.
