Senior Tom Malone has sparked concern among Gogglebox fans after he appeared on television with an injury and a blue cast on his right arm.
One of Channel 4’s most beloved characters said his doctors advised him to make “lifestyle changes” to restore his health.
Tom, who appears on screen with his wife Julie and children Vanessa and Shaun, is pleased to announce that he is “certainly free of housework” in the coming weeks.
Speaking to Julie, Tom shared details with viewers about what happened to his arm.
He said, “This has to get some rest, Julie. Calm down. I can’t do any housework or carry heavy loads, they told me. Definitely no housework, put your hands down. again.”

Tom continued: “She said, ‘You should take it easy, make sure you’re taken care of,’ that sort of thing.”
Julie feels that Tom isn’t doing too badly before his injury and quips: “Didn’t you tell her you were taken care of anyway, regardless of your arm? You get your coffee whenever you want, you get your meal on the tray. “
Even so, Tom said he was an “injured puppy” as he sat across from his wife on the sofa, and joked that he “needs care” and would “sit here and watch over it” phone”.

Julie doesn’t have that and jokes that this is Tom’s “normal” hobby, but her husband believes the doctors have urged him to “change his lifestyle”.
Despite the glee, fans of Gogglebox are still worried about what happened to Tom and have taken to Twitter to speculate about how traumatized he is.
One concerned fan tweeted: “Oh my god what happened to Tom’s arm?”
Another compared him to Napoleon before urging Tom to “take it easy”.
