Good news everyone, Watch Dogs is coming back… as a manga

minder is officially coming back, although you’ll have to put on your glasses since it’s a manga.

The manga, perhaps overly titled Watch Dogs Tokyo, will be “about a special new infrastructure system by a company called Bloom Japan that is being used by the Tokyo metropolitan government to transform people’s lives,” according to manga news report Manga Mogura describes. “In fact, there is also a great deal of darkness in this new system,” Manga Mogura continues. The manga is drawn by Kamo Syuhei, best known for the manga Gangsta: Cursed, and will be written by Shirato Seiichi. It will also be out soon, tomorrow (April 12) and can be read on the Kurage Bunch website.

That’s pretty much all we know about the manga at the moment, and it’s not even clear if it will even be available in English. Japanese Watch Dog fans will be able to dig into this while everyone else is largely in the dark as to the future of the series.

Guard Dogs: Legion came out in 2020, but in January it was announced that the game would not receive any more updates after its last update in September 2021. That’s not all that surprising considering it’s predominantly a single-player game, but it has multiplayer functionality as well. It is clear that Ubisoft isn’t done with the series yet judging by this manga announcement, but who knows if a new game will be announced soon.

Elsewhere in the world of Ubisoft gaming, it has been announced that Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will be shut down, although servers appear to be undergoing maintenance, as well as the things everyone absolutely loves and which are definitely not overpriced receipts, NFTs. However, a new Rainbow Six game for mobile devices is in development, so swings and carousels. Good news everyone, Watch Dogs is coming back… as a manga
