Kia has had a good few weeks on the awards front.
This week’s ts EV6 electric vehicle has been named European Car of the Year 2022.
It also recently won Car of the Year in Irish Continental Tires.
Who would say that there won’t be more?
The EV6 marks the first time Kia has won the prestigious award and it is the third battery electric vehicle to do so.
It was crowned under strange circumstances during a ceremony at the Palexpo exhibition center in Geneva, Switzerland.
That is usually the setting for the Geneva Motor Show but due to Covid-19 it had to be canceled for the third year in a row.
EV6 reached 279 points, ahead of Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric, 265 points.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 is in third place with 261 points.
Fourth was the Peugeot 308 (191), followed by the Skoda Enyaq (185), the Ford Mustang Mach-E (150) and the Cupra Born (144).
