Google Chrome is getting dangerous today – check your settings now

A brand new Google Chrome update was rolled out to web users today.
However, this means users need to update their now outdated version of Google Chrome as it is likely to contain some security flaws.
If internet users don’t update their Chrome browser to the latest version, they can expose themselves and their devices to malware.
Malware is software designed to damage or gain unauthorized access to a device.
It can sneak into computer or smartphone via shady links and websites.
Google’s Chrome typically detects these shady websites and warns users that “the website in front of you contains malware” or that a website is “suspicious.”
But each new version of Chrome will have security vulnerabilities fixed in the previous one.
It makes it safer for users to explore online.
Chrome 110 is a major update for the web browser as it is the first version not available for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 devices.
Millions are still using these older versions of Windows.
However, they must be using Chrome 109 or updating their operating system to get a more secure web browser.
Any attempt to install the brand new Chrome 110 on these older systems will result in error messages.
While not updating Chrome can leave security vulnerabilities on a device, Google has said it will provide Chrome 109 with critical security updates through October “to ease customers’ transition.”
Google released Chrome 110 to a handful of users as part of its beta program in mid-January.
“By releasing stable early to a small percentage of users, we have an opportunity to monitor the release before it rolls out to all of our users,” Google explained.
“If a noticeable problem is discovered, it can be addressed while the impact is relatively small.”
