Google is FINALLY offering Android users a handy privacy feature that iPhones have had for months

The convenient option allows you delete history from the last 15 minutes immediately.

So if you’ve briefly visited sites that you’d rather not save on your device, you can quickly remove all trace of them.

Google originally said it would be available for Android by the end of 2021, but it never happened.

The feature will appear in the Accounts section of the Google app.

Several people have spotted it out in the open, but it’s only now that the tech giant has confirmed it’s official.

This was announced by a spokesman for the company The edge: “We are currently rolling out this feature in the Google app for Android and expect to roll it out to all users of the app in the next few weeks.

“We continue to look at ways to bring this helpful feature to other surfaces.”

Of course, those who want to clear their history right away can do so the long way that has always been there.

To do this, open the Google app and tap your profile picture or initial in the top right corner.

Search for “History” and select the searches you want to clear.

The options are all history, a specific period, a specific day, or a specific activity.

And as soon as your device gets the latest update, it will also add the option “Clear last 15 minutes”.
