Google is issuing an urgent warning to all Chrome users – you must act now

GOOGLE has released an important update for Chrome after being made aware of a serious bug.
The tech giant has refused to give too many details about the nature of the bug until enough people have downloaded the latest software version.
Otherwise, it would essentially put hackers on the right track before the fix is widely adopted.
“Access to bug details and links may remain restricted until a majority of users have been updated with a fix,” the company said.
“We will also maintain limitations when the bug exists in a third-party library that other projects similarly depend on but have not yet fixed.”
Google routinely pushes out updates to Chrome after bugs are reported by experts.

There are usually quite a few with each month, but only one has been found and sorted for this latest release.
However, it is classified as high risk.
The only detail Google would give about bug CVE-2022-4135 (as it is officially known) is that it is a “heap buffer overflow in the GPU”.
Corresponding computer beepsthis can be used by attackers to gain access to information or run things on your device.
Google also confirmed that there is an exploit for it “in the wild”.
The release will roll out over the coming days and weeks, so make sure you have automatic updates turned on to stay protected as soon as possible.

However, if you want to see immediately if an update is available for you, you can open the three-dot menu and select it settings.
Go to About Chrome and you can check for updates here.
