Google is rolling out a free iPhone and Android feature that could one day save your life – don’t miss it

GOOGLE is harnessing the power of AI to warn even more people about life-threatening floods and wildfires.
The tech giant has announced plans to expand its current forecasting technology to even more locations.
It is hoped the big change will save lives by warning those in danger of imminent risks.
Last year, the company sent out a staggering 115 million flood alerts to 23 million people through its search and map apps.
Flood forecasts will now cover river basins in 18 more countries in Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia, Google said.
Notifications are sent to Android phones and any other device that has the Google search app installed.

But that’s not all, like the company FloodHub going global too.
The function shows where floods are to be expected and when.
If you zoom in and click on a pin, you will see more detailed information.
It even shows how deep the water is likely to be.
Meanwhile, Google is also beefing up its tools to warn people about wildfires that affect hundreds of thousands of people every year.
Geeks have come up with a new AI that looks at satellite imagery and allows it to show vulnerable locations in real time.
They also appear in the Search and Maps apps.
The service is available in the US, Canada, Mexico and parts of Australia.

“Internally for us it’s a very big change…it’s really a very meaningful different system,” said Sella Nevo, senior staff engineering manager at Google The edge.
“From a user’s perspective, they are [can] Just expect them to have more coverage and it’s more accurate.
