Evil-mouthed chef Gordon Ramsay has told the contestants of his new show, Future Culinary Stars, to make a jump from a cliff – but that’s literally what it is. No wonder one of them almost died.

Gordon Ramsay says he ‘can’t stand Cornish’

Gordon Ramsay says he was afraid he was going to kill one of his new reality show’s contestants when he told her to literally jump off a cliff.

The 55-year-old foul-mouthed chef will entertain fans of his new series, Future Culinary Stars, which is presented as a combination of Apprentice and Kitchen Nightmare.

Gordon himself will invest £150,000 of his own money into the successful contestant’s business after the challenging weeks.

But the show will begin with Gordon jumping from a helicopter on his own into the Ocean off the coast of Cornwall – before forcing his contestants to jump off a cliff themselves into the sea.

Talking to New! Journal, Gordy said that one of the contestants almost hit a rock, which could have been fatal, because she didn’t look before jumping.

“It’s also about leaps of faith in a way,” he explains. I’m going to invest a lot of money in one of you and I need to see that you guys are committed.

“I think I lost Bola [a contestant with a seltzer drinks business] on that jump. I though, ‘This is going to be an A&E Future Food Star!’

“I said, ‘Look out, jump out.’ I swear to God, the distance between her and the blow to a rock is the distance of a gnat. ”

Gordon has a reputation for slandering and demeaning people on his shows

Despite the apparent disregard for health and safety in the new show, the series is set to see a bunch of entrepreneurs compete for that cash prize – with water company owners Indian dots and Japanese beverage company owners among those hoping.

Gordon went on to explain that he takes the same approach to treating his contestants as he does with his hardline love for his family.

The chef is a proud father of five children; eldest daughter Megan, 23, twins Holly and Jack, 22, recent star Tilly, 20, and two-year-old son Oscar.

Explaining how he’s taken a slightly parent-driven approach to encouraging his Future Food Star contestants, Gordon says he expects them to speak up when they make a mistake.

“If you are going to work with my team, then when you make a mistake, master it,” he said. Accountability. Don’t half-own it and assume it’s not your responsibility.

“I say to the kids every day, ‘The sooner you tell me, the more I can do.’ I won’t solve your problem, but I will give you a solution. That is an important message. ”

Elsewhere in his interview, Gordon also said that he would absolutely jump at the chance to be on Dance Come Dancing just like his daughter, Tilly, did.

In his usual swearing style, Gordon said he would check in “in a heartbeat” – but said he would refuse to wear sequins if he were in the cast.
