Graham Potter says Albion have a big week ahead as they prepare for the Premier League.
The head coach was delighted with the 5-1 win against Espanyol, in which Leandro Trossard scored a hat-trick in the 14th minute of the second half.
Attention now turns to what is likely to be a far tougher test at Manchester United on Sunday.
Potter said: “It was a good performance with many positive aspects.
“We take that and we know we have a good week ahead of us to prepare for a tough start.
“We’re as happy as we can be with pre-season in terms of the spirit of the players and how we’re coming together, but there’s still a bit of work to do.”
Adam Webster and Lewis Dunk scored with headers before Trossard took over.
Potter said: “I thought we attacked well, created a few chances and there probably should have been a few more at half-time.
“We were the dominant side throughout the game and I think the goal line reflected that at the end.
“It was nice for us to score the goals and for Leo to score three goals. It’s pretty unusual, so let’s take that.”
