Graham Potter praises his experienced Brighton professionals

Graham Potter has revealed how his oldest players set the tone for his side.

Danny Welbeck starred, Pascal Gross scored twice and Adam Lallana was a smart choice as the Seagulls beat Manchester United 2-1.

Potter has built a reputation for helping younger players develop.

But he said his older players’ actions can speak louder than words.

The Albion head coach said: “The environment is the most important thing and the environment is a mix of the people you have and the guys you mentioned are top professionals.

“They drive standards every day. For example, if you host a running session, they would be up front.

“They want to show how fit they are, how competitive they are and they gave it their all.

“They are a great example for young people. As far as I can tell it’s better to watch Adam Lallana, Danny Welbeck or Pascal Gross because they were here and they are top professionals.” Graham Potter praises his experienced Brighton professionals
