Graham Potter’s verdict as Brighton lose 2-1 at Fulham

Graham Potter admitted Fulham deserved a win as Albion’s unbeaten start to the season ended at Craven Cottage.

The Seagulls went down 2-1 in the Premier League.

Potter said: “I think we underperformed, I thought Fulham played well and overall deserved to win.

“We haven’t been quite as good as we can be and when you’re like that in the Premier League it can be difficult.

“I thought they started better than us. We grew into the game throughout the first half and then in the latter part of the first half we were okay.

“So even when it was 0-0, we knew we could play better, but (overall) we weren’t that happy with our performance, but we had respect for our opponents.

“We got off to a very bad start in the second half and then things pick up a bit. We get a kind of lifeline with the penalty and then we push and push.

“So the reaction to the goals was really good but overall I would say Fulham deserved the win and we weren’t as good as we could be.” Graham Potter’s verdict as Brighton lose 2-1 at Fulham
