Goss was in LA last week to witness the anger the altercation between Will Smith and Chris Rock sparked in higher echelons of the academy.
It’s no wonder, then, that the Grammys bosses are doing everything they can to ensure there’s no replay tonight.
The stars were given strict orders to behave…or else!
There are rumors that they could be banned or even stripped of their gongs if they don’t comply.
Security will be at an all-time high should renegade celebs or guests seek to storm the stage
Organizers of the 64th awards ceremony – which will be broadcast live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena and hosted by The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah – are also warning performers to be careful about what they say onstage.
A source told me: “These awards have taken months to organize after what has already been a very up and down process and after the Oscars the organizers don’t want anything to spoil the night. Many saw it as a great shame that deserving winners had their Oscars glory overshadowed.
“And with the spotlight on the biggest music event on the US calendar, a lot is at stake if it’s to be a success, so they make it a priority for artists to be respectful and careful about what they say about others and how they behave general.”
The Grammys have already been pushed back from their original January 31st date due to concerns about the spread of the Omicron variant.
It was supposed to take place in Los Angeles but has now been moved to Sin City. With all of that in the mix, organizers reportedly banned Kanye West from performing over “regarding online conduct.”

But there could be a last-minute about-face after talks were held with the Recording Academy. Kanye was recently banned from Instagram for 24 hours for racially slurring a TV host.
He was also criticized for his online posts targeting his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her current partner, comedian Pete Davidson.
The Grammys have often caused controversy in the past.
Bob Dylan’s 1998 performance was famously interrupted by an artist Michael Portnoy.
And Will Smith expressed his frustration in 1989 after the Academy announced it would be introducing a new category, Best Rap Performance, but it would not be televised. He therefore decided to skip the awards ceremony this year.
Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly tonight…
