Gran Turismo 7 patch adds wind speed stats, 64 tracks, improvements and adjustments


Update for Gran Turismo 7 has been released.

The update introduces some key features like wind direction and wind speed indicators on the Track Monitor, and 64 new tracks have been added.

With the Tracks Display, an arrow indicating the wind direction has been added and a wind speed number displayed in the upper right of the screen in the Road Map.

Other improvements and adjustments have also been made. These include fixes for progress blocks and application errors, World Circuits, audio, car settings, and more.

Process blocks and application errors

  • Fixed a very rare issue where progress made on the Menu Book would not be recognized and prevented players from continuing to play through
  • Fixed an issue where application errors would occur when using the PlayStation ®4 system’s streaming features
  • Fixed an issue where an application error would occur when ‘Shoot’ was selected under ‘Racing Photo’ during playback rendered in 4K on PlayStation®4 Pro systems and with aspect ratio set to 16 : 9
  • Fixed an issue where an application error would occur when selecting ‘License Plate’ under ‘GT Auto’ in [Car Customisation] > [Other]while continuing to Menu Book number 20, ‘Show Your Custom Wing.’

World circuit

  • Fixed an issue where the actual time of day in the ‘Custom Tracks’ of some tracks would not match the selection made in [Time / Weather Settings] > [Timeframe]
  • Fixed an issue with the Zone 2 Bronze target time in the ‘Race Experience’ of the ‘Willow Springs Track: Willow Springs Track’ rendering Bronze unattainable
  • Fixed an issue where cars without dirty tires could be selected from [Settings] > [Change Car] of the Quick Menu during ‘Time Trial’ and ‘Drift Test’ on Dirt tracks
  • Fixed weather issues for all racing events
  • The Overtake function for Dallara SF19 Super Formula / Honda ’19 was disabled during the License test ‘S-7’ (One Lap Time Attack) in the ‘License’ booth. (The leaderboard has been reset.)

GT Auto

  • Fixed an issue where racing suits would not show up in ‘Driving Gear’ under certain conditions
  • Removed ‘Clone on Opposite’ and ‘Symmetrical Copy’ menu items from left and right arm’s ‘Layer Control’ while editing Racing Suit Livery
  • Fixed an issue where job results would not be applied in ‘Auto Service & Maintenance’ if the job was selected by moving the cursor with the Left bar.

Car installation

  • Fixed an issue where the Settings Page would become blank and settings could not be saved. With this fix, blank settings pages will remain but you can delete them normally. This will also fix the process blocking issue encountered when Menu Book tasks are related to Car Settings
  • Fixed an issue where a car would roll back to its original wheel if the Settings Panel was modified while fitted with non-standard wheels
  • Fixed an issue where ‘Top speed (Auto Tuning)’ would not adjust properly when a Fully Customizable gearbox was installed
  • Fixed an issue where the speed displayed in Rotational G’s was incorrect;
  • Fixed an issue where adding a new Settings Panel for a car where the engine was swapped would not carry that information across the new pages. The tool swap will now be applied to all Settings Sheets

Gallery & My Page

  • Fixed an issue in ‘Shop’ where the 2nd page onwards would not be displayed correctly if the number of items in ‘My Items’ and ‘Collection’ exceeded 100
  • Fixed an issue in ‘Gallery’ where the 2nd and more pages would not be displayed correctly if the number of items in ‘My Pages’ exceeded 100 items

Brand Center: Fixed an issue where the Invitation icon would appear in the maker’s ‘Galleries’ even if the player didn’t have an invite

replay: Fixed an issue where Replay and Demo Replay wouldn’t play in its entirety until the end


  • Fixed an issue where ‘Assist Settings’ would reset after entering a slot and exiting without entering a race
  • Fixed an issue where the weather and time set by the server would not reflect correctly for other players in the room.


  • Changed the ‘Flash and high/low beam switching’ function assigned to the default button of the DUALSHOCK 4 and DualSense wireless controllers to ‘High beam’. If the button has been remapped before, selecting ‘Restore Default Settings’ will apply the change;
  • Fixed an issue where BGM would not play during Music Playback if [Sound Volume] > [Menu BGM] volume level is set to 0;
  • Fixed an issue where changes to exposure values ​​in the ‘Exposure and Saturation’ settings made when starting the game for the first time would not be reflected in the preview screen.

Steering controller: Fixed an issue where the Thrustmaster TH8A adapter would not work properly when connected to USB. Please note that the PlayStation 5 console is not compatible with this USB connection. The shifter can be used by connecting it directly to the steering wheel base with a ‘DIN-to-DIN’ cable.


  • Fixed an issue where clearing all permit tests on a wet surface would not award the Bronze title ‘Rain Royal’. The players who have completed the related tests can get the trophy by clearing the tests again
  • Demo Race shown in Auto Demo has been changed to Music Playback
