Grand Theft Auto fans all say the same thing after GTA 6 release date leak

GRAND Theft Auto fans are going wild after leaked documents hinted that they are still years away from being able to play a sequel to the franchise.

Internal company files from TakeTwo Interactive, the New York-based developer behind the game, point to a release no earlier than 2024.

The documents forecast 14% growth through 2024, leading analysts to believe the publisher has big release plans for that year.

Some analysts reacted to the financial statements, submit online by Take Two, parent company of Rockstar Games, on January 10.

Investment analyst Stephen Totilo said: “Only a handful of headlines can… give the management network the confidence to issue such a strong guideline.

“We believe there is at least one set of Rockstar IPs that will be released by [2024]. “

This prediction echoes the comments of industry veterans Jason Schreier and Tom Henderson, both of whom say there is a possibility of a release in 2024/2025.

Fans reacted quickly to the news, which pushes the release date back to the 2023 outlined in previous forecasts.

One user wrote on Twitter: “Sooner or later they have to announce GTA6. Milking Forever season 5 won’t work”.

Another whispered: “GTA fans should boycott GTA5 until Rockstar really becomes open and transparent about GTA6.”

Grand Theft Auto 6 is the rumored sequel to GTA V, which has sold over 150 million copies and earned more than £5 billion since its release in 2013.

The next-gen version of the hugely successful game is due out in March and means the title has spanned three console generations.

The Rockstar Games creator has yet to admit that they’re working on a sequel to the franchise, but it’s safe to assume it’s in the works.

Like previous GTA games, you will play as a character or characters participating in the criminal underworld of a fictional version of a major US city.

GTA 6 release date rumors have swirled for months, and Rockstar’s job listing provided another clue this week.

GTA people and leakers Tez2 seems confident that the game will launch next year, and will be officially announced in late 2022.

“Can’t wait for this year’s announcement,” they posted on the GTA forums this week, cementing their position.

The GTA 6 2023 release date hype is currently gaining momentum thanks to a recent job listing.

Twitter users @chi_colossimo spot a few job listings for a Interaction Designer and UX Designer.

The listings indicate that Rockstar is creating a “digital experience” for “players to interact with our brands in new and exciting ways.”

Speculation is that this is a marketing push tied to GTA 6’s digital media campaign.

Of course, there’s no mention of GTA 6 on the job listing, and Rockstar is as tight-lipped as ever.

Games are usually announced years in advance, so even if we’ve seen an announcement of GTA 6 in 2022, that doesn’t mean a 2023 release is inevitable.
