Gregg Wallace celebrated “our love for our mothers” ahead of Mother’s Day by doing some cooking with his wife Anna and their mother Rina.
The Master Chef star, 57, said the kitchen should be “a fun place” where “mums can pass on skills to the next generation”.
In a video tutorial of the trio making the family flatbread recipe, he spoke about the role of cooking together in family relationships.
“Cooking can be fun. If you do this together. It can be a fun place,” he said.
Wallace, who has been an advocate for health and fitness since his dramatic weight loss, asked Anna and Rina how important it was to their own relationship to be in the kitchen together.
“I think something like that is a really good example of children being able to get involved,” Anna said.
“So when the kids are involved, they laugh and they’re happy, and then you’d be happy if you saw the kids making stuff and they get messy, and if it goes wrong, it’s okay.”
Her mother added, “I know … people work, they come home and they’re tired. But that takes less than five minutes to get on the table.”
Wallace continued, “On Mother’s Day, of course, we want to celebrate our love for our mothers.

“And what better way to celebrate than a family tradition of making flatbreads, a tradition that probably goes back five generations, I reckon.”
The trio then later went through the recipe, which uses flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt, and yogurt.
Rina explains that extra yogurt can be added if the mix is too dry, to which Wallace admits, “I just ate it.”
Later, as the flatbreads were being rolled out, he joked that he always had trouble creating round shapes and instead was “very good at making maps of Africa and South America”.
Wallace has become deeply involved in health and fitness after losing 10 pounds, and along with Anna and a host of fitness, health and psychology experts, he launched the website Showme.fit.
Designed to help people lose weight, eat healthy, and stay motivated, the subscription site was inspired by Wallace’s own weight-loss journey.
Wallace previously revealed he was warned he was “heading for a heart attack” and had watched him “get bigger and bigger” on TV before a doctor warned him about his high cholesterol in 2017.
