Grimes recalls being falsely accused of throwing a snowball at the Queen’s car

Canadian musician Grimes recalled an incident from her childhood in which she was falsely accused of throwing a snowball at the Queen’s car.

The singer, who shares two children with SpaceX founder Elon Musk, said that although the real culprit was never found, the event was “glorious”.

The visit took place in 2002 during one of the late King’s official trips to the Canadian provinces.

Grimes wrote on Twitter: “Once the queen was driving past my high school on a snowy day, and all day the teachers threatened us ‘don’t snowball’.

“When she drove past it was dead silent, all the teachers were on high alert. And just as the procession was about to pass, a single snowball shot out of the crowd and crashed into her car. “

She added: “The whole crowd exploded with frenzy.

“I was falsely accused and had to undergo many hours of interrogation, so far the culprit has not been identified.

“But it’s very glorious.”

The eccentric artist’s first child, named X AE A-12 and known as X, was born in May 2020.

Earlier this year, she revealed that she and Musk had secretly welcomed their second child through a surrogate, a baby girl named Exa Dark Siderael Musk, abbreviated as Y.
