The Mirror Journey Mysterious picture competition for May has been revealed – can you guess where we are?

We’ll post a photo every month – all you have to do is find out where it is and you could win three superbly illustrated DK travel guides. To help you, We will reveal clues here – so stop by again and follow @SpiegelReise and @TravelEdNigel on Twitter for updates!

This month’s image (top of article) shows a port on a tropical island known for its colorful, historic buildings and large natural harbor. The 548 foot long, famously rickety pontoon bridge in the foreground swings open to allow navigation.

LAST MONTH’S ANSWER: Our April image (below) was the 4,000 meter high Eiger in the Bernese Oberland of Switzerland. Known for its challenging north face climb, it has two Jungfau stations inside the tunnel and has appeared in films and television, including the Eiger Sanction with Clint Eastwood.
