Guild Wars 2 Living World Season 1 Chapter “Sky Pirates” is coming next week

Guild Wars 2 will continue to see the release of Living World Season 1 content when the next episode comes out on May 24th. This episode, “Sky Pirates,” introduces Captain Mai Trin and Detective Marjory Delaqua.

When you’ve played through and done end of the dragons, but didn’t play at the time when Living World Season 1 was originally live in-game, this is an opportunity to step back. You’ll take a look at where some of the more memorable characters and the story’s roots went in the recent expansion as it originally happened.

With each of the planned episodes scheduled for release, expect achievements, some updates, and in some cases new content to coincide with them. Next week, when this episode comes out, the next one end of the dragons The Challenge Mode Strike Mission will also arrive. There will also be a set of Legendary Gen 3 weapon variant skins inspired by the Elder Dragon Zhaitan, known as the Dragon of Death and Shadow.

With this announcement, ArenaNet also marks another anniversary of sorts. The original release of the content in Sky Pirates coincided with the first run of the Dragon Bash event. This new release will arrive before Dragon Bash 2022, which takes place on June 7th.

If you haven’t attended the Dragon Bash yet, it’s an event celebrating defiance and rebellion and victories over the Elder Dragons. Notably, the festival was originally celebrated after Zhaitan’s defeat when the story ran in 2013. The 2013 edition featured a Dragon Ball arena, dragon effigy granting blessings, and fireworks to conclude the celebrations.

The event was not held for several years after this original festival, but in 2019 Dragon Bash returned and has since been held in its new territory, the norn settlement of Hoelbrak.
