Guild Wars 2 update brings many fixes and balance changes and kicks off the Super Adventure Festival

The latest update for Guild Wars 2 turns on a variety of optimizations end of the dragons content, fixes some issues, adjusts items, makes changes to elite specializations in the name of balance, and begins the Super Adventure Festival.

The returning Super Adventure Festival starts today and lets you explore Two Worlds with Moto’s Super Adventure Box. You can visit the Adventure Box in Rata Sum starting today with temporary portals in each major city to get to the location. Once there, you can earn Festival achievements and rewards. New additions to this year’s festival include the Reality Rig MK1 chest protector, which you can upgrade. There’s a new Hardlight holographic weapon set, a sub-weapon series, a new daily achievement called Extracurricular Activities, and a daily achievement rotation. The event runs until April 19th.

The remainder of the update is polish, bug fixes, and a whole host of balance changes. Some of the changes affect the elite specializations, including a change that allows you to earn the collection item when you complete them end of the dragons Story by completing the event or buying it from a vendor if you have already finished the story with another character. The Jade Bot has received a few tweaks to make it work properly, and the Catalyst Jade Orb’s energy is now set to max when attacking a raid or strike boss. The event rewards have been improved and an additional change has been made to the Battle for the Jade Sea event, giving you a little more time to attack the boss.

Other fine-tuning changes and bug fixes should allow players to complete their achievements and tasks a bit more easily with adjustments to several quests and events. Class balance changes will still affect the Catalyst. In the last major update, the Catalyst was adjusted as builds offered almost 100% quickness and the highest damage output. Anet decided to quickly change the trait and damage output, but the Catalyst now deals less than competitive damage. Therefore, the team introduced several tiers of changes to be applied to PVE play. He’s also made a number of changes to various classes for competitive play.

The update is big and you should read all the notes if you had any problems with it end of the dragons or if you are curious about what to expect for your course in the future.
