Juventus are said to have made an offer targeting Man Utd’s Denis Zakaria – and that could pave the way for Arsenal to finally land Arthur Melo.

Fabrizio Romano said: “Juventus are pushing for the signing of Denis Zakaria immediately.

“Negotiations are ongoing with Borussia Monchengladbach and new Zakaria agents over the past few hours.

“The meeting is now for the Denis Zakaria-Juventus deal. The club are confident of completing the deal while Zakaria is keen to move.

“Juve need at least one midfielder to leave in the coming hours. Rodrigo Bentancur or Arthur Melo, everything is fine.”

Meanwhile, Tottenham are said to have joined Arsenal in the race to lure Douglas Luiz away from Aston Villa.

The Gunners have been linked with the purchase of the Brazilian midfielder after failing to win Bruno Guimaraes.

But according to the Daily Mail, their North London rivals are now on the hunt for the 23-year-old.

They say Spurs are preparing a £32m bid for the former Manchester City man.

Finally, Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno is expected to stay at the Emirates this month.

The German defender has been linked with a move to Newcastle with Aaron Ramsdale being the No 1 choice in North London.

But Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg has stated that he will stay at least until the summer.

He tweeted: “He [Leno] Confirmed decision not to leave @Arsenal for the winter.

“Most likely to transfer in the summer. #NUFC still have a good chance if they stay in PL.” Gunners eye Morata loan Shock, Aubameyang to Barcelona talks, £60m Calvert-Lewin battle
