Gusts of more than 80 km/h are forecast for the Sussex coast
Gale force winds are forecast to hit Sussex, with gusts in excess of 80mph expected to hit the coast.
Wet and windy weather is expected for most of this morning and into the afternoon, with winds of up to 56mph forecast for Brighton and Hove by the Met Office.
Heavy rain will continue until at least 2pm as conditions improve. However, gusts of more than 60 km/h are forecast far into the evening and overnight.

Stormy weather will continue tomorrow, with gusts of up to 80km/h along the coast.
However, conditions will be drier with sunny intervals throughout the day.
Although the Met Office has not issued a weather warning for the area, during blustery conditions and storms, the weather service advises staying indoors as much as possible, driving more slowly on roads and being cautious on exposed routes – such as bridges and high open roads, and not going outside to repair damage while the storm is in progress.
