Almost all of us will face some form of hair loss in our lifetime, and there are many factors that can cause it – from excessive stress to weight loss and even iron deficiency.

Jennifer also made a comment herself asking what her followers do to stop hair loss.

But for those with severe hair loss, Jennifer stresses that it’s best to see a doctor, because in some cases, hair loss can be a sign of something more serious.

She told one commenter: “If it’s severe hair loss then you better go see a doctor, love.”

When to see a doctor for hair loss?

The NHS says hair loss is usually nothing to worry about, but there are some situations where they recommend contacting your family doctor.

If you experience sudden hair loss, bald patches or patches of hair loss, the NHS says you should make an appointment with your GP to discuss the issue.

You should also see your doctor if your hair loss is accompanied by an itching or burning sensation.
