Halifax is among a number of banks that appear to be having technical problems this morning.
Customers of the major bank report failures in mobile and online banking services.
Reports emerged for a number of banks including Lloyds, TSB and Mastercard, with Halifax also affected.
Customers have reported issues to DownDetector, an online outage reporting website, which shows a sharp rise in issues affecting major UK banks.
Halifax app not working?
According to DownDetector, the problems started around 6am and a spike in problems has continued throughout the morning.
Of the reported issues, 47% are related to mobile banking, 36% are related to online banking and 17% of the reported issues are related to credit cards.
