A new one Halo Infinite the patch seems to have finally fixed the problems associated with its Big Team mode, which has existed since early December.
In a tweet posted earlier today, the official Halo Infinite Twitter Account confirmed improvements to the matchmaking feature in Big Team Battle. Players are being asked to close and relaunch Halo Infinite to install the patch.
In addition to the issues with Big Team Battle, the new patch also addresses known campaign issues while making balance changes. Some of the most notable changes can be found here:
- Local Area Network (LAN) multiplayer is now available. There is a known problem for LAN multiplayer: The changed match settings in the Mode Editor still show up as default. The changed settings work as expected when the match starts.
- Players with AMD Radeon RX 500 Series GPUs no longer have problems because Asynchronous Computing in video settings is enabled.
- Players who disabled Async Compute because of this can now turn it back on.
- If Halo Infinite is launched without an internet connection, the player can connect to the internet while in the main menu and play online. This does not solve all the cases where the launched game is connected to the internet, then loses internet connection and is stuck offline until the game is restarted.
- When launched in windowed mode on Steam, the window shows the correct outlines.
The post also covers some known campaign issues and workarounds for players experiencing them. Meanwhile, Halo Infinite players are being compensated with 5 XP boosts and 5 Challenge Swaps, available to collect until February 16.
Halo Infinite was released late last year with great success, but it has faced a lot of criticism for handle its Battle Pass among other problems. Players are still waiting for more information on the release of the co-op campaign and the creation of the Forge map, which is still in development.
