‘Halo’: Master Chief Gears Up Trailer in Paramount Plus Series

Master Chief is finally ready to act.

Paramount Plus announced the official trailer for the highly anticipated sci-fi series.”Halo. The first shot also revealed the premiere date to be March 24.

Based on the Xbox Game Studios best-selling first-person shooter video game series, “Halo” is set in the 26th century and focuses on the adventures of Master Chief (Pablo Schreiber), a cybernetic-enhanced super-soldier known as the Spartan who protects humanity under the orders of the United Nations Space Command. While the plot details of the live-action series are being kept under wraps, most of the games in the “Halo” series focus on the UNSC’s battle with an alien theocracy known as the Covenant .

Set on the cover for Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight,” the trailer features Master Chief getting into the action, teasing multiple large-scale battles, alien planets, and an energy sword.

In addition to Schreiber, “Halo” will also star Natascha McElhone as Spartan show creator Dr. Catherine Halsey, and Jen Taylor, who reprises her voice role as AI Cortana in the video game “Halo”. The main cast includes Yerin Ha, Charlie Murphy, Shabana Azmi, Bokeem Woodbine, Olive Grey, Kate Kennedy, Natasha Culzac, Bentley Kalu, Danny Sapani and Jesse Tyler Ridgway.

The live-action “Halo” series has been in development since 2013 and was originally set to be produced by the now-defunct Xbox Entertainment Studios as an Xbox One exclusive. “Halo” was serialized by Showtime in 2018 and began filming in October 2019 before halting production due to COVID-19 in 2020. Last February, it finished announced that the show had moved from Showtime to Paramount Plus.

The “Halo” series is produced by Showtime in association with 343 Industries, current developers of the video game “Halo”, with Kiki Wolfkill, Frank O’Connor, and Bonnie Ross serving as executive producers on behalf of the game studio. play. Amblin Television will also produce, with Steven Kane hosting the show while executive producing alongside Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. Killen and Kane were originally set to act as co-hosts for the project; however, in june Diversity report that Killen had resigned before production, with Kane leading the series on his own while the show shot in Budapest.
