The journey continues for Brighton’s Harlem Eubank as he looks to improve on his perfect 14-0 record. writes Austin Ejuetami.
He’s heading to Tyneside for his next big night.
Eubank was due to face Tom Farrell but will now face Mexico’s Eliot Chavez after the Liverpool man was ruled out citing Covid.
The fight will take place at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle and will be broadcast live on Channel 5 (10pm).
Eubank stole the show last time out at London’s O2 Indigo with a spectacular KO of former Commonwealth Champion Sean ‘Masher’ Dodd.
He is now determined to make another big statement in order to secure a shot at the British title.
Harlem said: “The British title means a lot to me.
“My uncle, Chris Snr, always brought a lot of prestige to the Lonsdale belt.
“I was ringside when my cousin Chris Jr. took the title and now I’m ready to do the same.”
“I’m targeting all the top names in my division and those fights are coming soon.
“I’m confident I’ve beaten everyone at UK national level. Whoever holds the title, I’m coming to take it!”
