Harley-Davidson’s LiveWire teases electric motorcycle launches for next week

LiveWire, the all-electric motorcycle brand that emerged from a division of Harley-Davidson tease the start of a brand new bike next week called the Del Mar. electr Remarks that it’s meant to be a mid-weight motorcycle, making it a more accessible alternative last year’s LiveWire One. In addition to announcing the date, LiveWire also posted a short teaser trailer that appears to show the rear end of the upcoming bike at the 0:06 mark.

The Del Mar is expected to be a more accessible motorcycle in the company’s lineup, priced below the $21,999 LiveWire One. Motorbike.com reports that the Del Mar will be built around LiveWire’s Arrow platform, which includes a battery, electronics and motor in a single unit around which the company can then build different bikes. The Del Mar is expected to use the S2 version of the platform, designed for mid-weight motorcycles. However, Arrow is designed to be scalable, and future releases are expected to feature a light S3 and heavy S4 design.
