Veteran filmmaker Harrison Ford will make his debut in the upcoming Apple TV+ comedy series Shrinking.
The Star Wars and Indiana Jones actor will star in the 10-part program alongside Jason Segel, who is also the writer.
Executive producers are Segel, co-creator of Ted Lasso, Bill Lawrence, and football comedy star Brett Goldstein.
Shrinking follows Segel’s character Jimmy, a grieving therapist who begins to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what’s on their mind.
Ford becomes Dr. Play Phil Rhodes, a down-to-earth “worker psychiatrist, outspoken but with an ever-present wink.”
His character is a pioneer in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) but was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, which pits him against his pushy friends and estranged family.
Shrinking is the second Apple Original to sail, also featured in The Sky is Everywhere.
Ford will reprise his role as the troublesome archaeologist in director James Mangold’s fifth installment in the Indiana Jones franchise.
