Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the UK for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee last weekend, flying over with their children and reuniting with members of the royal family for the celebrations.
However, one expert has claimed that instead of “fixing fences” the pair have encountered a “brick wall” with some senior royals – as they will have wondered if “everything they say should be read as a chapter in Harry’s memoir or… in a future podcast”.
Author Duncan Larcombe, best known for his work Prince Harry: The Inside Story, has shared how he believes the couple now faces a real test that could impact their future with the family.
writing for Closer Magazine, Larcombe said Harry and Meghan risk being “cut off” if they reveal private moments from the anniversary, leaving them in a “last chance drawing room”.

He told the publication: “The test really starts now for Harry and Meghan. They’ve come to the UK and for the anniversary and have really cemented themselves as royals again – which is great for their brand and something that Spotify, Netflix and penguin will eat up.
“But now it all depends on how their behavior moves in the future. Apparently, an olive branch was extended here by the royal family. But Harry and Meghan would ruin that if any private information about this weekend was spoken to the press or published in a book.
“It’s their last chance now. If anything leaked out from the weekend I assume they’ll be totally cut off and that’s it.”
Larcombe added that while this could be seen as “dangerous territory” for Harry and Meghan, it was also an opportunity for them to “take a big step in the right direction” and “prove they can be trusted.” “.
Harry and Meghan kept a low profile during the anniversary, only attending one public event – the Queen’s Thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral.
The couple sat on opposite sides of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during the service, and another royal expert has claimed that the “reality” of Prince Harry’s new life must have sunk in by this point.
Aside from a brief glimpse of Trooping The Color on Thursday, they were not seen at any other royal event before returning to California on Sunday.
However, it is believed the couple introduced their daughter Lilibet to the Queen over the weekend before he left, and they threw a first birthday party for the tot at Frogmore Cottage on Saturday.
