Harry Styles has talked about how he struggled with guilt over sex ‘for a long time’ in a new interview

Harry Styles has revealed he was ‘very embarrassed’ about his sex life and the people who knew about it.

The Water singer Sugar, 28, who became a pop icon after rising to fame in One Direction in 2010, detailed his guilt and fear when people learned he is sexually active – “whoever it is”.

In a new interview with Better houses and gardensHarry said publicly commenting on his personal life and sex when he talked about how he had grown to embrace sex was “weird” and “outdated”.

“For a long time, I felt like my only sex life was mine. I felt so embarrassed about it, embarrassed to know people even knew that I was having sex, Don’t tell anyone,” he said.

“At that point, there was still something to be said. Working to know who I could trust was stressful.”

Singer Adore You said he’s finally reached a place in his life where he can ask himself why he’s embarrassed and grow from there.

People started questioning Harry’s sexuality after seeing his style and confidence during the release of Fine Line in 2019.

Harry said he feels it’s important to keep his love life to himself and will only confide in the people closest to him.

“I’m really open to it with my friends, but that’s my personal experience; that’s my experience. The whole point where we should be working, that’s towards accepting people. and more open-minded, it doesn’t matter,” he said

The giving of the interview came after he released a new song, As It Was, along with a music video.

Since its release, fans have been dissecting the lyrics and MV.

Some people speculate that the line “Leaving America, two children follow her” is about his girlfriend Olivia Wilde, 38 years old.

The actor – who was born and raised in the United States – has two young children with ex-husband Jason Sudeikis, 46. She is said to have started dating Harry last year.

The song is the lead single from his upcoming album Harry’s House – his third solo to date – which will be released next month.

The album will be his first since Fine Line, including the track that landed Harry his first Grammy, Watermelon Sugar.

In recent years Harry has been very busy with music releases, touring as well as many film projects.

A successful transition to acting has landed him in film roles, including in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk.

He also landed a potentially lucrative role in the Marvel Franchise, giving his character Eros and stars in the upcoming films My Policeman and Don’t Worry Darling.
