Hastings man attacked in Rye as Sussex Police appeal

A man was attacked by the driver of a white van after claiming his car was blocked by the vehicle.

A 44-year-old man said he returned to his car in Beckley Village Hall car park in Rye and found he was unable to move his car.

After asking the van driver to move the vehicle, the Hastings man was attacked and suffered facial injuries that required hospital treatment.

Police are now looking for witnesses to the attack on Woodperry Road, which took place between 12.30pm and 12.45pm on 26 November.

The suspect was described as white, approximately 5 feet 10 inches and of stocky build. He is also said to have had short, dark hair and was wearing a blue shirt and dark blue jeans.

Anyone who witnessed the attack or has information that may assist officers in their investigation is asked to report it to police online or call 101 quoting serial number 831 dated 11/30. to call
